The Container Retreat at Canyon Lake

Every once in a while we come across a project that has potential to revolutionize an industry. Such is the case with a new community of shipping container homes going in up near Canyon Lake. This is the epitome of “putting idle land to work”. These folks reached out to us to discuss the potential of outfitting their property located on the shores of Canyon Lake with rentable shipping container homes and we were more than happy to oblige.

Container Community

Idle Land & Containers

As we look for new industries and communities we can provide services for, we keep seeing folks with idle land they want to put to work. They are just unsure of how to do so. Shipping containers can be an excellent investment with a quick turnaround on ROI if planned properly. Undeveloped land does not do much but slowly appreciate in value for you. Slap a few containers on that land and in just a few months you can be profitable. After that, the entire show is building passive income for you and as you iron out your processes, you could even have more containers delivered and set up on your land to increase that ROI. We have found we can do quite well with the single build, whether it be off the shelf, or a customized model. The off the shelf models would certainly be better if you are looking to get something quickly, but we could also look at a customized design. This option could be cost effective if you are going to place considerable volume on your land. The reason our off the shelf models can stay at lower prices is because we have already gone through the process to develop plans and understand the most efficient ways to execute the build. This is not the case with a fully custom container or grouping of containers.

Endless Possibilities

In the case of the Container Retreat at Canyon Lake, this is an excellent option with endless possibilities for enjoyment and development. Being located so close to the lake, the folks at the Container Retreat can set you up with water toys and gear like a giant lily pad, paddle boards, and much more. The freedom and simplicity of living in a shipping container lends itself to comfortable living, a luxury feel, ease of access, and hassle free cleaning. Once your initial investment is paid off the overhead is low and you have great potential for return on investment as long as you can keep bodies in the units. With the popularity and nuance of shipping containers continuing to rise, you can be sure there will be some demand. Folks are always looking for a new and unique experience for themselves, their families, or a group of their friends. On top of all of this, containers are easily moved from location to location. This makes rearranging easy, gives the potential for further development if you have limited space, and you know exactly what you are getting each place your container lands.
